Be A Gimper

  BE A GIMPER

The church library is maintained by a group of volunteers who call themselves THE GIMPERS.

In Bruce Wilkerson's book PRAYER OF JABEZ based on Chronicles2:9-10 the Chaplain Dr. Richard Seume asks, 'Want a bigger vision for your life? Sign up to be a GIMPER for God."

A GIMPER, he explains, is someone who always does a little more than what's expected. In the furniture business gimping is putting the finishing touches on the upholstery, patiently applying the ornamental extras that are a mark of quality and value.

Anyone of any age who has an interest in furthering the church library as a ministry is invited to join this group. Contact the GIMPERS, and let them know if you are interested.

                                                           GIMPER GLEANINGS

Patience is the ability to keep your motor idling when you feel like stripping your gears. ( Better a patient man  than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes a city. (Proverb 16:13 NIV)

He who thinks himself the wisest is generally the least so. ( When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who hold his tongue is wise. ( Proverb 10:19 NIV)

There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it is going to be a butterfly. ( John 4:7 NIV)

I don't know the key to success but the key to failure is to try to please everyone. (Am I trying to win the approval of man, or of God?)
(Galatians 1:10 NIV)
