Our Vision

Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ by loving God and neighbor.

But for us, discipleship is more than something we talk about. It is a way of life.

Located in Greensboro, North Carolina, we seek to serve our neighbors throughout eastern Guilford County and the surrounding communities.

We envision a church where people encounter the love of Jesus, discover a place to belong, grow deeper in faith, and find meaningful ways to serve others. We want to be a community where faith reaches beyond Sunday morning and becomes visible in the way we live, work, raise our families, care for one another, and love our neighbors.

We want to be a church where people know Jesus.

Through worship, prayer, Scripture, and authentic relationships, we seek to help people discover the grace, hope, and transforming love found in Jesus Christ.

We want to be a church where people grow.

Following Jesus is a lifelong journey. We want to encourage people of every age and stage of life to grow in their faith, deepen their relationship with God, and become more like Christ.

We want to be a church where everyone belongs.

We envision a welcoming, intergenerational community where children, students, adults, and seniors have a place to connect, contribute, and grow. We want people who walk through our doors to experience not simply a friendly church, but a genuine sense of belonging.

We want to be a church that loves its neighbors.

Jesus calls us to love our neighbors not just with words, but with our lives. We seek opportunities to care for people who are hurting, serve those in need, strengthen our community, and make a tangible difference in the lives of the people around us.

We want to be a church that sends people into the world.

Our calling does not end when worship ends. We want to equip and encourage every person to live as a disciple of Jesus wherever God has placed them — at home, at work, at school, in their neighborhoods, and throughout our community.
